Nui Xào Bò (Vietnamese Stir-Fried Pasta w/ Beef)

Ingredients
FOR THE MARINADE:
1 pound Beef (cut into thin strips)
1 tablespoon Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Pepper
1 tablespoon Maggi seasoning
2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
1 teaspoon Cornstarch
FOR THE STIR-FRY
1 pound Macaroni noodles
3 ounces Tomato paste
1 Tomato (sliced into wedges)
1/2 of a Yellow onion (sliced)
6 cloves Garlic (minced)
2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
Sliced green onion (for topping)
Chopped cilantro (for topping)

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Mix the marinade ingredients together in a bowl and set the mixture aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Put the oil into a large pan and saute the yellow onion & garlic for a few minutes.
  3. Add the beef and cook for a few more minutes stirring frequently. Mix in the tomato paste and pasta, then stir in the tomatoes and let them cook a bit to soften.
  4. Serve topped with sliced green onions & chopped cilantro.
